Langtang and Gosainkund Trek: A Sacred Journey Through the Himalayas

The Langtang and Gosainkund Trek combines two stunning treks: Langtang Valley, a beautiful Himalayan region, and Gosainkund, a sacred lake in Langtang National Park. Gosainkund Lake, located at 4,300m, is a significant religious site for Hindus, believed to have been created by Lord Shiva. Thousands of pilgrims visit this site during major Hindu festivals.

Starting with a cultural exploration in Kathmandu, the trek takes you to Syaphrubensi by 4WD, followed by a journey through Sherpa villages, cedar forests, alpine meadows, and yak pastures. You’ll experience breathtaking views of the Langtang, Shishapangma, and Ganesh Himal peaks. A key highlight is summiting Tsergo Ri (4,984m) before heading to the sacred Gosainkund Lake via Laurebena Pass (4,610m). The trek concludes with a scenic descent through the Helambu Valley to Sundarijal, before returning to Kathmandu.

This two-week trek offers an alternative to the Everest Base Camp trek, providing a combination of natural beauty, cultural heritage, and spiritual significance.
